Qualification:BCA/ BE/ MCA / B.Tech/Diploma(Computer science,IT)
Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, client facing, problem solving skills and willingness to work in a high pressured environment.
The L2 Unix/Linux Role involves basic troubleshooting, server upgrades, and hardware failure management. Support includes, but is not limited to:
- Server Node down auto-generated tickets
- Print queue add/delete
- Server reboot requests
- Debugging/troubleshooting server boot issues
- Debugging any local account or LDAP account configuration issues on OS side, restart LDAP client
- File system grow/New file system add
- File system full auto-generated incidents
- File copy requests that need to be done by root
- Debug issues with NAS exports and automounts
- Restart/monitor/audit backup connectivity from OS side when required to help from backup team
- Vendor ticket management - Opening cases with Oracle, Symantec, Redhat for debugging/RCA purposes
- Veritas Cluster Server resource additions/deletions
- Server Discoveries/OS data gathering
- TTO servers from build to production
- Server Decommissions
- Basic OS troubleshooting
